Tamarack is a one of a kind showcase for West Virginia culture, heritage, handcrafts, fine art, regional cuisine and music. Delightful displays that change daily feature a variety of artisan wares including jewelry, apparel, wood, metal, toys, music and books, pottery, and glass. From a simple rag doll to intricate jewelry, from elaborate furnishings to whimsical metal sculptures; from a train full of marbles to weavings full of color and texture – Tamarack has something to delight every visitor.
Throughout the year, artisans offer on-site demonstrations, enabling visitors to see their work as it is being created. The fine art gallery provides a glimpse of the current art scene in West Virginia. Rounding out activities at Tamarack are the music, theatre, dance and storytelling performances in the intimate 178-seat theater.
For literature, heritage or history buffs, we also offer a large selection of books, audiotapes, music CDs, and videos. Tamarack: The Best of West Virginia Tamarack Hours
